Below is a list of ACVOW sponsorship programs and their cost. Though we have specific needs to fulfill with your contributions, the guidelines are by no means set in stone. Partial contributions and sponsorships at any level will be accepted with great appreciation. Contributions can be made in one dispersement or in periodic payments. Should ACVOW procure facilities for less than what is projected on this form, the remaining proceeds will go toward other programs in other locations and the payment of operating costs for these programs.
For all sponsorship levels, ACVOW will list each sponsor on its website with special thanks. Company logos will also be displayed with links to the sponsor’s website. Furthermore, a certificate of sponsorship will be provided as will special invitations to all ACVOW events. Promotional items such as t-shirts and decals will be made available upon request. Finally, press releases will be sent to all local media markets announcing your support for ACVOW.
If you have your own ideas or company policies for making contributions for non-profit organizations, please let us know. If you have any questions or would like more detailed information, please call Bill Rider at (858)552-7501 or (760)696-0460.
1. Fund the Safe Warrior Outreach or Female Warrior Safe Harbor Programs
$15,120 Annually
Expanding our Safe Warrior Outreach and Femail Warrior Safe Harbor programs is our greatest objective. This program allows combat veterans and active duty personnel to come together on a weekly basis to discuss problems due to combat stress. The meeting is held by combat veterans who know, first-hand, what our troops have gone through. On hand is a professional counselor at every meeting. Please see our website or the ACVOW Services page in this sponsorship packet for detailed information.
The Female Warrior Safe Harbor Program is almost identical to that of the Safe Warrior Outreach program. The only difference is that this program is for women specifically, who may quickly become the most neglected of our warriors if we do not meet this need with urgency. The manner and environment of the military prevents some warriors from expressing themselves honestly in mixed company. Therefore, a separate program for women is need in almost every location as the men’s.
The total shown for this sponsorship allows ACVOW to add one additional location for this program and funds it for one year. ACVOW’s objective is to facilitate at least one meeting in every military town throughout the country.

2. Fund our National Training Center
$57,600 Annually
The National Training Center will have many purposes. Among them will be a central location where we can train combat veterans on the proper techniques for debriefing troops when they return from combat. Rather than recounting war stories, debriefers will give anecdotes on situations our warriors may find themselves in upon returning from deployment. Our debriefers will be trained to use their own experiences to offer assistance and resources for such situations.
The center will also be a place where facilitators will learn to hold Safe Warrior Outreach meetings. Facilitators will not dispense treatment as they are not professional therapists. They are simply counselors and mentors and will be taught to recognize when a combat veteran may need professional help.
